Tivo v58 error on HBO
Hi Teds...
Xfinity customer service recently made a change to my account that somehow affected my cable card progromming on my TiVo. The change was to simply move my cable card from outlet 4 to outlet 1. Once they applied the change I lost access to HBO and no one in customer service seems to have the knowledge to fix it. All other channels seem to be working as expected. You guys have helped me with cable cards in the past. Can you save me again? Thanks in advance!

No one here can tell you what the local Comcast store has for you, stop in and find out. Since the RNG110's came out in 2008, no new ones would be available, but there are plenty that would be refurbished to be given out again.
Re: Problem with Standard Definition TV
Yes, you pay one fee for HD and it covers all boxes on the account. Any and all std def boxes, both full and digital adapters, can be swapped out for HD versions without any additional charge over what you are already paying for those extra boxes.
Our house is being raised and I need to have our comcast disconnected the first week of June
Re: DVR KEEPS DELETING SAVED RECORDINGS
This exact thing happened to me on 5/11/16 on two machines. I suspect it may be a recent software update. To clarify, the DVR was not deleting the saved recordings, it would just not display them. A reboot would temporarily bring the display back, but within minutes, the list would just be blank.
What turned out to be the solution was to have a Comcast rep remotely reset both boxes. That seemed to do a better job than a local reboot and it's been 24 hours and I can still see all my recordings.

Re: DVR KEEPS DELETING SAVED RECORDINGS
naperrick,
I am sorry for any inconvenience this issue is causing you. I would recommend you have a technician come out to see what may be causing the issue. I can schedule a trouble call for you if you could give me some times and days that you could be available, just reply to this post with days and times.
Re: Tivo v58 error on HBO
Problem was resolved. Comcast successfully re-paired my cable card. Thanks to everyone involved.
Re: Viewing DVD and then switching back to cable
Tried all suggestions but still no one has kindly sent me step by step instructions.
Using the TV remote got us to the DVD player but I had trouble getting back cable.
We are dense I guess and not teck savy at 84.
Thanks for trying.
Re: Tivo v53 cable card issue
bryanatlga wrote:We just got a new Tivo Bolt and got a new cable card from the local store. But when we call to pair / activate it, the channels never show up. On the conditional access screen it shows Con: Yes and Val: V but none of the other info below like an Auth code. We have called the cable card number (877.405.2298) several times and a tech came out to check the signal but it is still not working. They have basically said as long as it says Con: Yes and Val: V that everything should be working. All of the google searches haven't helped turn up an answer yet either, so I thought maybe someone on here could point me in the right direction. Or maybe one of the Comcast moderators could help me get this resolved.
Apologies for the issue and the experience that you described above. I have escalated your issue to the right teams so that we can get all of your subscribed channels for you on your TiVo. That team will review your account and contact you directly. Thanks again for your patience.

Great news, thanks again for your patience.
Re: DVR KEEPS DELETING SAVED RECORDINGS
Strike my earlier comments. The problem returned and it's infuriating. At this point I probably just need to reconsider how I cosume TV content.
Re: DVR KEEPS DELETING SAVED RECORDINGS
khisel1,
I would advise to have a technician to come out to see what is causing the continued issue.
Re: DVR
Hi loann1 -- Do you have this set as a series recording? You may want to start with checking your series recording details to see if it's been set to only record for 1 hour instead of the whole episode.
Re: Viewing DVD and then switching back to cable
Use the same input button to go from DVD to TV as you did to from TV to DVD.
Re: DVR
Hi Zach: I have it set up as a series recording, start on time, end on time. For example, next Sunday it shows up as recording from 6:00 to 7:30 AM, a 90 minute show, which is exactly what it should be. We shall see! Maybe this was a one time weird thing. Hope so.
