Very frustrated with my Xfinity the last 5 days. The cable box is constantly resetting. Sometimes 4 or 5 times an hour. I've tried everything. Using the restart in the help tab. Trying the system refresh and that tells me there is an outage in my area. I've unplugged it for 30 seconds and plugged back in. I'm at my wits and and quite disappointed that I've only had Xfinity for about 6 months. And switched from Uverse cause I heard great things about Xfinity. And now I've been waiting for 15 minutes to connect to support chat and it's still saying chat will start shortly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Restarting constantly is due to poor signals....  Especially if you have the X1 platform...  you may have a local issue...call into Comcast @ 1-800-266-2278 or 1-800-934-6489 and ask the CSR.   If you would prefer online chat, try this link:  https://www.comcastsupport.com/ChatEntry/Protected.aspx

BarbaraBernadet,

I am sorry that you are having issues with the audio on your television. The issue could be with your box. I am going to ask you a few questions to see if we can resolve the issue. If you are using a HDMI cable as the audio connection could you please unplug for a few minutes then plug back in? This should resolve the issue if not please reply to this post and we will keep going to try and resolve this issue.

I want to add two satelite boxes to my system. Will Comcast install the wiring for the boxes?

Yes I will do that. Order has been placed. I'm also sending a return kit with prepaid return label for your current box.

Hello Toowideview,

I see you are having the same issue with the zoom feature on your remote as sandman100. The solution to their problem was to change out the remote because we have several remotes that are compatible with our cable boxes. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please let us know.

If you swap for the HD DTA, then you would be watching the channels in HD, and the size issue on the SD channels would not be an issue unless the channel is SD only.

You can replace all SD DTA's for HD versions.  The HD DTA would work on the tube TV as it has both a HDMI and coax ouput.

Drop by your local Comcast office for a swap, no charge.

You have a RF signal issue that can only affect some of the channels.

If nothing has changed inside with the cables or splitters, then it's most likely an outside issue that Comcast must come out to fix.  Call Comcast support at 1-800-266-2278 to get a tech out.

On my comcast remote the A button does load the help menu but B and C don't seem to do anything.  The D button will turn off the descriptive audio and change back to English from Spanish.  For some reason our TV sometimes starts broadcasting in Spanish and with the descriptive audio.  I would love to stop it entirely.  Any suggestions?

If you subscribe to the X1 platform, what is the model # of the box the remote is paired to?

Okay, I'm really confused now. You're saying that Comcast is going to give me HD for the TV that currently has a regular DTA on it at no additional charge? I'm paying for the HD for only one TV. On the TV with the HD stb, I see SD channels below channel 700, and HD above channel 700. And now I'm going to be able to use the channels over 700 on the TV that currently has the DTA on it, and get essentially free HD? That's so unlike Comcast, I can't believe it. I must not be understanding what you're saying.

Can you please confirm this, that Comcast will give me free HD on the TV that currently has a regular DTA for no additonal cost? Like I said, it isn't like Comcast to not nickel and dime wherever they can, so I just don't believe it. Not that I don't want to believe it, but I firmly subscribe to "if it sounds too good to be true it is too good to be true".

Thanks for staying with me on this one, I'm totally confused at this point.

I don't have x1, just a regular comcast dev.  This was the only place I could find any info about the a ABCD buttons.  The D button does change things back to English but it is a pain to do every time we change channels.
