The output channel of the RNG 100 cannot be changed. You can use the yellow rca jack to your TV aux in.

Thanks spminis! The 981->B trick worked like a charm! I also spent time on the phone with Comcast/Xfinity trying to get the cable box to work with my new remote, and the rep was unable to help. Kept telling me to do the same thing over and over even though it didn't work the first time. Then she decided there must be something wrong with the cable box, even though it was working this morning before I picked up the new remote. Why doesn't comcast share this info with their customer service people??

Re: Comcast audio will not feed to optical out
I came back to report that I now have an operational Miccus Bluetooth feed from the cable. I went to the Xfinity store to return the DCH70. Instead they gave me a PR150BNM which has outputs galore and was good for trying to debug the situation. I still don't know what is wrong with using the coaxial output from the cable box but the results were the same. However, this box also has a HDMI output and the HDMI feed produces an output that goes through the TV and delivers a good feed to the TV's Optical Out port. Now the headphones work with the Comcast cable feed. (Sigh, only two HDMI on the TV so I had to choose between Roku and Sony blue-ray. Roku won but I put both on a HDMI switchbox.)

I did not get a solution. What good is only one function, either "on" or "off"? I did find my smart phone gave me most everything I needed by using the Peel Smart Remote app.

blocking unsubscribed channels
it's difficult when Comcast changes the programming and you select a channel and it immediately takes you to a screen where you are one button away from adding it to your monthly subscription bill. how do i easily block unsubscribed channels and the banner ad at the bottom of the channel guide screen, I already chatted with a rep about this and they said there is a "my guide" option on the channel guide menu, I don't see this thanks.

Remote code for Niro 1000 surround system needed
I just got Xfinity and I have a Niro 1000 surround system. I cannot find a code to hve the Xfinity remote control my Niro 1000 volume. I tried the Nakamichi code, but that did not work.
Any help would be appreciated.

TV picture and sound off/on
in morning & late night, programs flicker (picture & sound), tileing, piixelatuon etc. during day possible to watch but still some gliches. Seems to happen when it is cooler & humid. Works fair an hour or so after sun comes out. Seems to be getting worse.

DVR
Every Sunday I DVR CBS Sunday Morning. It is a 90 minute show. Today it only recorded 60 minutes. Any ideas? Nothing else was being recorded at that time. It is in my list of shows to be recorded weekly.
