I use an hdmi cable from my TV to my receiver's TV out.  And I use an hdmi cable from my X1 DVR's HDMI out port to my receiver's Cable In port.

I am sorry for the delay. I see that you had a trouble call on 5/4/16 between 1:00 PM- 3:00 PM, was the technician able to resolve this issue for you?

Thank you for routing me to the right teams, ComcastTeds!

 

The team over there (Steve, Jon, and Mark) were able to fix my issue with a couple calls!

 

They did what the regular Comcast CableCard activation line couldn't do for over a week, including me going out and getting new CableCards as well as sending a technician out.

 

I really appreciate all the help, and it turns out it was a backend issue with where the head (?) was connected wrong, and they were able to diagnose and get it fixed.

 

Thank you again so much, and I wish I had come here first rather than spending all the frustrating hours with on the phone with the wrong people!

You are welcome and apologies again for the initial experience. It looks like the local headend had a misconfiguration. That took some time to track down and admittedly is a bit unique.

We are going to dig a bit deeper into how that happened, how to prevent that from happening, and how to identify that as a possible issue earlier in our initial troubleshooting.

 

Glad to hear that this situation is now resolved.

Channel Copy Protection - Infinitv 4, Windows 10, NextPVR

Hi All,

 

I believe I am having a problem with channels that do not have the "copy freely" tag. I could not view HD channels through a community installation (mydigitallife) of Windows Media Center on Windows 10, so I am attempting through NextPVR.

 

It should work. My standard channels play fine, but the HD versions do not... and the lack of the "copy freely" tag seems to be the likely culprit

 

Any advice?

No modle on cable remote.  It is silver has a row at top of control 5 buttons. Below an all on button.  Does this help?

This is what teck told us

From cable control, press TV then, TV/VCR, then HDMI 2 then input button.

Put tape or dvd in VCR and use the Toshiba control to play.

Problem is if we get to this point how do we get back to normal cable.  As I said we had to call Comcast for help and I did not write down instructions.

What we need is simple directions to get to VCR and then back to cable.

Use the remote that came with the TV to select the input you want. You do not use the comcast remote or the DVD remote to select inputs.

Please help! Have called customer support 8 times now with no resolution in site of buring the cable in front yard. Kids are tripping over it on the sidewalk and poses a tripping hazard.

Since getting the new black one my hand has been hurting.I can't even use it.The old silver one didn't do this.
